OrganArt Media, the Sampleset builder famous for the Hauptwerk samplesets of Stade (Hus-Schnitger) and Ebersmunster (A. Silbermann), recorded in 2003 the sampleset of the Gottfried Silbermann organ in Reinhardsgrimma for the first time. In 2010 it was recorded for a second time, this time in 24-bit. Now the Surround-version has been finally released.
The organ of Reinhardsgrimma was build in 1731 by Gottfried Silbermann and is one of the gems in his oeuvre. It has 2 manuals and free pedal. In its history it has been only 3 times partly refurbished/restored (1852, 1940 and for the last time in 1997).
