Mixtuur Orgels is honored with the request of Citypastoraat Domkerk Utrecht. After 6 January, the famous Bätz organ will not be used for 3 months due to repairs on the wall above the organ. As a temporary replacement, a Hauptwerk organ by Mixtuur Orgels was chosen. The Mixtuur organ, a 4-manual block organ, will be heard during the church services and in the saturday afternoon music series of the Domkerk.
This brings the unique situation that for the first time a North German Baroque organ and an English Cathedral organ will be heard in the Dom Church. The samplesets of the Schnitger organ in Zwolle and the Father Willis organ in Salisbury were chosen.
On 2 February, a presentation will take place during a ‘Relations concert’ in collaboration with Citypastoraat Domkerk Utrecht. We will inform you about this later.

We hope that with this organ new possibilities will arise in the music practice of the Domkerk. We wish Domorganist Jan Hage and Domcantor Remco de Graas a lot of success and above all a lot of pleasure with these new possibilities!
